Antonio Kimmons, a 47-year-old resident of Little Rock, has been sentenced to 140 months in federal prison after being convicted again for possessing firearms and ammunition as a felon. The sentence was announced by Jonathan D. Ross, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas, and handed down by United States District Judge James M. Moody, Jr.

Kimmons was indicted on March 4, 2025, by a federal grand jury on three counts: being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition, possession of a machinegun, and possession of body armor. He pleaded guilty on September 30, 2025, to the charge of being a felon in possession of firearms and ammunition. In addition to his prison term, Kimmons will serve one year of supervised release. Federal sentencing does not allow for parole.

The case stems from an incident on June 30, 2024. Deputies from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a verbal altercation at a garage sale involving Kimmons and two other men. According to statements given to deputies, Kimmons became angry during the dispute and followed the men in a white van while shooting at them. No injuries were reported; however, investigators found bullet holes in the back of the victims’ vehicle and through the driver’s seat.

Deputies located the white van at Kimmons’ residence and obtained a search warrant for his home. During their search, they discovered approximately 17 firearms—including a machinegun—over 300 pounds of various types of ammunition, body armor, and other firearm accessories. During an interview with an agent from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Kimmons admitted ownership of these items and stated he had purchased illegal firearm parts online.

Kimmons has prior felony convictions for being a felon in possession of a firearm and aggravated robbery. His record also includes several misdemeanor convictions related to drugs, criminal trespass, assault, domestic battery, and disorderly conduct.

“This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime,” according to information provided by officials.

The investigation was conducted by ATF with assistance from the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. Assistant United States Attorney Bart Dickinson prosecuted the case.
